Launched in 2023, the initiative is aimed exclusively at the daughters of heavy commercial vehicle drivers, recognising their invaluable role in powering the nation’s transport and logistics backbone. The scholarship helps families overcome financial barriers that often restrict higher education for girls.
In just two years, more than 320 young women have already benefitted, and this year the programme will expand to cover 500 meritorious students pursuing undergraduate education across five states viz. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand. Beyond financial aid, the programme reflects JK Tyre’s commitment to enabling equal opportunities and nurturing the next generation of women achievers.
