Winmore Academy Jakkur successfully inaugurated the country’s first-ever school-based Moot Courtroom on July 1. This landmark initiative represents a paradigm shift in legal education, transforming traditional classroom learning into an active, experiential journey that prepares students for the complexities of civic and professional life.
The state-of-the-art Moot Courtroom serves as an immersive extension of the CBSE Legal Studies curriculum for Grades 11 and 12, creating an authentic legal environment where students can engage with real-world scenarios. By simulating actual courtroom dynamics, this innovative facility encourages critical thinking, articulation, and legal reasoning skills that are essential to form the foundation of effective citizenship and professional excellence.
The facility at Winmore Academy features authentic courtroom elements including a judge’s bench, witness stand, jury seating, and legal documentation systems, creating an environment that mirrors actual judicial proceedings. This attention to detail ensures that students gain genuine insights into legal processes while developing confidence in formal presentation and argumentation.

This experiential approach not only deepens their understanding of legal concepts but also develops crucial life skills including public speaking, analytical thinking, and persuasive communication.
