Akshay Chaturvedi, Founder & CEO of Leverage Edu, and Mayank Kumar, Co-founder & MD of upGrad, have been selected as International Fellows at St. George’s House, Windsor Castle. This is recognition of their leadership and impact in the education sector and they are the only two representatives currently from India in the global cohort of 250 fellows. The selection of these two prominent Indian education leaders also signals the growing global influence of India’s startups.
The International Fellowship, an initiative curated under the patronage of the Duke of Edinburgh, serves as a forum for distinguished global leaders to engage in thought-provoking discussions on shaping the future of education, innovation, and talent mobility. The event, attended by select leaders from around the world, has also seen the presence of King Charles in previous years, further underlining its significance.
Expressing his gratitude, Founder & CEO of Leverage Edu, Akshay Chaturvedi, said, “It is an honour to be a part of this group, and to represent both India & the education / Indian Internet sector. I look forward to contributing to the vision set by His Highness Duke of Edinburgh, and share our perspectives, learnings from building Leverage into a global company, and our world-view of what society should look like, how it should continue to chase cohesive internationalism in a time that so many nations are becoming insular.”
