Employability.life, a skilling platform offering Experiential Microcredentials (XPMC) framework by way of project experiences inside the campuses and industry partners, in alliance with Federation University Australia, has shortlisted 7 Indian universities to run the Future of Work Centre program. This program is the first of its kind, offering skill-based training programs for graduates to enhance their employability in line with global corporate demands.

Moreover, Employability.life, along with the 7 universities, will collaborate closely with Federation University Australia to establish robust mentorship programs, cultivate industry partnerships, and foster networking opportunities for students. These initiatives aim to enrich the learning experience and provide students with invaluable insights and guidance from seasoned professionals, empowering them to navigate their career paths with confidence.

The centers are being established in Chandigarh, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Mumbai. The universities participating in this alliance are Chandigarh University; Lamrin Tech Skills University (Punjab); MGM Engineering Institute (Mumbai); Sister Nivedita University (Kolkata); Garden City University (Bangalore); Nargund Group of Institutions (NGI) (Bangalore); and Malnad College of Engineering (MCE) (Hassan). These institutions will develop cutting-edge programs aimed at equipping students with the skills and experience required for success in the global workforce.

At this Future of Work Experience center, students will be provided with project-based learning opportunities in India and Melbourne. Additionally, a Future of Work Training program with Federation University will enable students to seamlessly pursue their studies and gain valuable experience across India and Australia.

Dr. Manish Malhotra, CEO of Employability.life, highlighted the close collaboration with employers and industries to identify gaps in graduate skills and experience. Together, they have developed project experiences that enable students to acquire essential preparation for contemporary workplaces. This ensures that learners in India’s premier universities and colleges gain practical experience on industry projects under the guidance of industry mentors before graduation, either as part of their curriculum or as an exciting co-curricular initiative.

Upon completion, graduates will be equipped with Experiential Micro-credentials certified by Federation University Australia, assuring employers of their readiness to seamlessly integrate into the workforce.

Professor Duncan Bentley, Vice-Chancellor & President of Federation University Australia, stressed the necessity of adopting a work-integrated approach to education: “Our partnership with Employability.life will create a model for experiential learning that can be replicated across India and internationally.”
