The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) —India™, designed by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and delivered by Pearson VUE, will be offered twice in 2024 – once in January and again in May. The January test will be delivered in multiple slots on 20 January. The deadline to register for this administration is 10 January. Candidates can register for the exam at https://www.lsatindia.in/

Now in its 15th year, LSAT—India™ is one of the leading law entrance exam used by multiple law colleges in India for both the Under-Graduate and Post Graduate programmes. With sections on Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension, LSAT—India™ is a standardised test for assessing the skills of law aspirants on the basis of advanced reading skills, critical thinking, and informal and deductive reasoning skills. LSAT—India™ carries a total of 92 questions to be answered in 2 hours 20 minutes. The exam scorecard reports both a scaled score and a percentile rank.

Expressing his deep satisfaction with use of the LSAT—India™, Professor Anand Prakash Mishra, Associate Dean of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and Director of Law Admissions at OP Jindal Global University (JGU) said, “Since the first year of our law school in 2009, we have admitted students exclusively on the basis of the LSAT—India™. Our faith in LSAT—India™score is based on it being globally recognised and accepted, it provides a unique percentile score for every candidate making the admission process easy and smooth, and it is scientific and based on logic not on rote learning.

“In 2024, LSAT—India™will be mandatory for admission to both the 3-year LLB and 5-year Integrated law degrees, including the BComLLB, BBALLB, and BALLB Hons programmes. We will not accept CLAT or any other test score.

“As all the scholarship decisions at Jindal Global Law School are also based on LSAT—India™ Score, I appeal to all the law aspirants and their parents that you must not miss LSAT—India™ January 2024 Test,” concludes Professor Anand Prakash Mishra.

To provide maximum access and convenience to test-takers, the examination will be delivered across India through an online mode, with remote proctoring to help ensure test integrity. In order to access the test from home, candidates must meet all the necessary system and environment requirements before taking the test. Candidates are urged to visit the frequently asked questions on the exam website to check all the relevant information about the test including system requirements and test preparation.
